How do elements combine to form compounds?

Hello In quarter 1 we learned about the reactions and compunds.Compounds are formed by the chemical reactions, when elements react together to form compounds their atoms join to other atoms using chemical bonds.
In an ionic bond, the atoms are bound together by the attraction between oppositely-charged ions, and In a covalent bond, the atoms are bound by shared electrons. If the electron is shared equally between the atoms forming a covalent bond. For example sand, and lime. Those two are example of ionic bonds
Two covalent bonds

This is kitchen cleaner it contained dye, and ammonia, also the detergents. ( covalent bonds)
This is sugar which contained the sweet(Sucrose)
Two ionic bonds
This is hand sanitizer it containes Sodium Bicarbonate.
Soap
This containes Sodium hydroxide.
