Building Blocks Of Matter

During the first quarter of the school year as a class we learned about the building blocks of matter. If you asked me the question , " What is the building blocks of matter," about four months ago my answer would probably be something like, " The building blocks of what?"

Now I probably say something like this, Atoms are made out of three particles, electrons, protons and neutrons. They each have a charge except for neutrons, they have no charge. While protons have positive charge and electrons have negative charge, The number of Protons in an atom gives you the Atomic number. The Periodic table is arranged by atomic number, it used to be atomic mass.

Matter, believe it or not, is found everywhere. Matter is also known as the building blocks of life. Without matter we would have nothing. Overall my knowledge on "Building blocks of matter" has changed dramatically. I did not know about protons and neutrons as much. I did not know that you can find matter anywhere in the environment . I have learned all my knowledge on Building blocks of matter thanks to Mrs. Ahmed.
