Building Blocks of Matter

In quarter 1, our main topic was the building block of matter and the periodic table and what it is composed of. I learned that matter makes up everything from people to the technology we use in our daily life. These matter are composed of tiny particles known as atoms. Atoms themselves are made up of a nucleus and subatomic particles like electrons and quarks.

My understanding about matter and the periodic table has grown quite a lot. In the beginning I barely knew the periodic table and thought that it was used in math, but after going through the layers of the periodic table I finally know why they are segregated by colors and why they were located in a specific column. Matter became clearer since We learned about isotopes and how and why elements combine.

Examples of matter in our environment are endless. A tree, person, and water are some examples I could give, but then again our galaxy and other planets are made up of matter too.
